By Public Bus
The easiest and cheapest way to get from the port (Karavostasi) to Chora is by public bus. The ride takes only about 10 minutes, as everything on Folegandros is very close. The bus stop in Chora is just 200 meters from the entrance to the village at Pounta Square.
However, in low season, the buses do not run as frequently, so it may be more convenient to arrange a private transfer service. If you prefer this option, I can organize a transfer to pick you up directly at the port for a hassle-free experience.
The public bus also connects Chora to other parts of the island, including Agali Beach and Ano Meria, the second village on the island.
By Rental Vehicle
For more flexibility, renting a scooter or a car is a great option. The entire village of Chora is a car-free zone, but there is a large free parking area at the entrance of the village where you can leave your rental vehicle. If you're interested in renting a vehicle, let me know—I’d be happy to assist with arrangements.
By Taxi
A taxi service is also available, but with only one taxi on the island, it’s essential to book in advance. If you'd like me to arrange a taxi for you, it can be waiting at the port upon your arrival.
Check-In Instructions
For check-in, please head to the entrance of Chora at Pounta Square, in front of Pounta Restaurant. From there, the village is a car-free zone, so no vehicles are allowed beyond this point. I’ll meet you there to guide you to the Cliffhouse!
Let me know if you need assistance arranging transportation or have any other questions!
